Leavesdon Walk

Sunday 2 March, 2-3.30pm. 2 mile

A moderate 2 mile walk to discover Leavesdon Park, past and present

Formerly known as the Imbeciles Asylum, Leavesdon hospital was opened in 1870 and operated for over 100 years. Now the park is owned by Three Rivers Distrct Council and has a very different use. Why not join the Countryside Management Service for a walk to discover interesting past facts about the hospital and how the park is managed today, and it's importance as a local open space for both recreation and wildlife. Please meet outside the Woodlands YMCA building off College Road at 14:00
