A moderate pluswalk of 7km/4 miles through farmland
The valley of the Old Bourne is surprisingly rural and peaceful with old woodlands scattered among the fields and hedgerows. Visit it on a circular walk with local guide, John Grisbrooke, during Little Munden Walking Fortnight when many organisations enjoy visits to the area. Please note there are some stiles on the route and a stiff climb towards the end. The Rest and Welcome serves sandwiches at lunchtime. Meet at the Rest and Welcome pub in Haultwick, off the lane form Dane End to Great Munden. Dane End is signed from the A119 between Ware and Stevenage.
