Abbey Flier Walks

Three walks from stations on this railway line which runs from Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey Stations. For train times call the Traveline on 0870 608 2 608.

Verulamium Walk - A 2 mile circular walk from St Albans Abbey Station, off Holywell Hill, St Albans. Time: 1 - 1.5 hours. Rated easy, suitable for pushchairs. The walk is almost all surfaced and so this walk can be done at any time of the year.

The Moors Walk - A 2 mile circular walk from How Wood Station, Park Street Lane. Time 1 - 1.5 hours. Rated moderate, some steps, uneven ground. Very wet in winter, wellington boots a must. In summer wear sturdy shoes.

The Common Walk - 1.5 or 4 mile walks from Bricket Wood Station. Time: Loop 1, 1 hour; Loop 2, 2 hours. Loop 1 is rated easy, some roadside stretches and muddy paths. Loop 2 is rated moderate, some roadside stretches and muddy paths.
